Navigating the complex world of carbon finance
Founder
Founder and Managing Director James Walker has over 10 years of experience in the carbon markets, financial services and international development across Africa, developing projects through feasibility to issuance. As a former Operations Director, James has managed a portfolio issuing over 3 million emission reductions per year and has built successful teams in the UK and Uganda.
His experience includes registering the GS PoA GS7591 International Program for Safe Water Access and Efficient Cookstoves, which has over 50 verified project activities, and managing the PoA GS1247 Improved Kitchen Regimes, which has over 300 verified project activities. The issuances under these programmes is close to 10m ERs across 14 countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
James Walker has a 1st Class LLB in Law and an MSc in Environmental Management (Water). He is studying at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management to be a Certified Expert in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance.
